How do I use Rio's data quality and completeness feature?

View your data quality at a glance. This article explains how to pull key insights about your data quality and completeness via Rio's analysis feature

Navigating to this feature

To view your account's data quality and completeness, simply navigate to the "Data" section of the platform via the left-hand navigation pane.

From the Data landing page, scroll down to " Data Quality and Completeness"  under the data tracker and anomaly detection tools.

Data Quality

Data quality refers to percentage of actual vs estimated readings for your account's data per utility. This percentage calculated based on the last 12 months of data. (For example: Rio will analyse the total number of days in the last 12 months and the number of days which have data from actual transactions vs estimated transactions as indicated upon upload).

Please note: for accounts which capture financed emission data, this does not cover portfolio management transactions.

Data Completeness

Data completeness refers to how complete your data set is per utility. This is a high-level view of the last 12 months of data, where Rio calculates the percentage based on the number of days where data has been received vs not received for each respective utility.

Please note: for accounts which capture financed emission data, this does not cover portfolio management transactions.

To understand where those gaps are occurring across your data set, you can gain a location-level view under the utilities tab of your account's carbon report. This report will show you for which months and locations you are missing data per utility.
