How do I edit or remove users in my account?

This article explains how Business Admins and Rio Champions can edit and remove Users from Rio

Who can edit and remove a user?

Not all users have the ability to edit and remove accounts.

Based on your user permissions, you may not have access to account configuration.  Do reach out to your Rio consultant if your user level needs to be updated.

Rio Champions and Business Admins can add users, while Read Only or Contributor access levels cannot. If you do not see the same account configuration options below, it is because you have been given Contributor or Read Only access to the platform.

If you are a Business Admin or Rio Champion:

1. Navigate to the Users page in Configuration

First, you will need to navigate to the Users section through the Configuration tab.

Select Users in the configuration menu (as shown below).

2. Select the pencil icon

Once you have located the user you wish to edit or remove, select the pencil icon in the user's row. Please note, you may need to scroll to the final column on the right side of the user table.

3. Edit or remove user

Selecting the pencil icon will allow you to edit a user's permissions, or disable their account from the system.

If editing the user's account, provide all updates and select save at the bottom of the modal.

If removing a user's account, select "disable user" at the bottom of the modal.

Disabling  users if your account utilises Microsoft SSO

Please note that if your account utilises a Single Sign-On, the process for disabling users will vary slightly.

You will not be required to remove an SSO user in Rio as they will no longer be able to login once their company Microsoft account is disabled.

For more information on utilising SSO see our article here:
